The links between both oral contraceptives and breast cancer, and the links between abortion and breast cancer have been known for quite some time now and research continues to confirm in an outright frightening way these deadly correlations. Wake up America .. if you call yourself “Pro-Choice”, one is right to question your committment to the health and safety of women. The opposite of pro life is definitely NOT pro choice. This came in email from fellow parish member Brock Heinz as part of some planning dialogue for the upcoming March for Life on January 22nd. I find the analogy brutally thought provoking.
“Hey there Rich,
I just wanted to say ‘thank you’ for putting this together. I went to the ‘09 ‘March’ not really knowing what to expect. It was very much a last second trip taken by myself and my wife, and it’s a trip I’ll never forget. It really made me proud to be a Catholic.
It was truly inspiring to see so many men, women, and children stand up for the voiceless; to really just say, “ENOUGH”!
While at the March, a thought continued to cross my mind while I was in DC last year… I thought of the end of World War II. At the end of the War, the Allied forces began to uncover death camps where millions had perished. After making this gruesome discovery, the troops began to make their way through the towns surrounding the death camps, knowing that the residents of these towns were fully aware of the evil that was being perpetrated around them. The troops would then pull the residents out of their homes and into the camps to view what they had allowed to happen… and the troops forced them to bury the dead.
Why did these people around the camps do nothing? Fear.
I truly believe that when the fateful day comes where we meet our Maker, and our Lord says to us, “Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me” that He will also be referring to those who are killed in the womb.
